Scott and his wife started dating 19 years ago, and they got married a decade ago. They have two beautiful daughters, and they also have a Basset Hound and a Shih Tzu. Scott spends his free time saltwater kayak fishing — he loves the peaceful, quiet feeling of watching the sun rise on the water, “until you hook into that bull redfish, then it’s on!”
Scott graduated high school in 1999, and he got his start in construction as a haul truck operator. Today, he’s been in this industry for 20 years, and he was actually the very first Hughes Brothers employee! In 2013, Scott transitioned to a management position as a mass grading foreman, and he’s currently a superintendent.
He truly appreciates the mentorship he’s received from Justin and Chad over the years, saying that whenever he’s had a problem on a job, they’ve helped him work through it. He also likes how Hughes Brothers makes family time a priority, and doesn’t ask employees to work nearly as many weekends as some other companies in our industry.
